I was searching for sheet music for a song that my little guy wanted to play on his recorder during a primary presentation during Sacrament meeting this month. I wasn't able to find the song he wanted but I did come across this great site with all sorts of useful information from food storage, music and primary ideas through to templates for newsletters, ward activities etc.

What is Family Home Evening ?

The easiest way to answer that is to quote from the LDS website

"Family home evening is a special time set aside each week that brings family members together and strengthens their love for each other, helps them draw closer to Heavenly Father, and encourages them to live righteously."

Family Home Evening is somthing we do weekly as members of the LDS church, if you are not a member that does not mean that you can not have Family Home Evening in your home as it is a wonderful way for any family to grow closer together.

There are many great websites around that have wonderful ideas for you family home evenings. One thing to always keep in mind when planning your evening is that there are also great resources offered by other christian websites that may be suitable. For instance you may find some colouring pictures of bible scenes to print out on a christian website or maybe even find an interactive movie or game, so keep your options open. There is a really great website that offers free streaming media (windows media) in a radio station format. It allows you to request songs and rate them as well, From the website..

Over at lds.org they have a wonderful online gospel library, from braille file's and Amercian Sign Language to audio for your mp3 player and protable books for your pda or smartphone.
